The European Dimension - a Comenius Project

"The European Dimension" is a Comenius School Project with three participating schools from three different European countries.
These schools are "Escola Secundária de Vila Puca de Aguiar" in Vila Pouca de Aguiar, Portugal, "G. W. Leibniz", in Bormio, Italy and "Leksvik videregående skole" (Leksvik Upper Secondary School) in Leksvik, Norway (co-ordinating school). The project started in September 2002, and it will terminate in July 2005. Funding for the project has been provided for by the EU via the different national Comenius offices in each of the three countries.

The focal points of "The European dimension" are:

to promote understanding and friendship across national borders

our common European background and culture

fight xenophobia and racism

increase the learning effect of our students

prepare our students for tomorrow's international job market

As part of the project we have visited each other's schools, both with groups and whole classes.
